Instructions for Streptocid (Sulfanilamide) Liniment
Streptocide is a broad spectrum antibacterial agent.
The active ingredient Sulfanilamide (streptocide) is one of the first representatives of chemotherapeutic preparations of the sulfanilamide group.

Pharmacology:
The mechanism of action is due to competitive antagonism with PABC and competitive suppression of the enzyme dihydropteroacintezase.
It leads to disruption of the synthesis of dihydrofolia, and then tetrahydrofolic acid and, as a result, to disruption of the synthesis of nucleic acids. Sulfanylamide is active against gram positive and gram negative cokes
Testimony:
- Infected wounds of different etiology,
- Grade I and Grade II burns
- superficial piodermia
- Boils
- Carbuncles
- vulgar acne and different eels
- impetigo and other gous-inflammatory skin diseases
How to use and dosage:
When used externally, it is applied to the affected areas of the skin and mucous membranes.
Bandages are carried out in one to two days
Side effects of the drug:
From the digestive system: may be nausea or vomiting.
There may also be diarrhea. From the blood system: rare eosinophilia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, hypoprotrombineemia, agranulocytosis. From the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system: in some cases - visual impairment, headache, dizziness, peripheral neuropathy, ataxia. Other: skin allergic reactions; rare nephrotoxic reactions (most likely in patients with impaired kidney function); in some cases, hypothyroidism.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity, anemia, renal/liver failure, congenital glucose-6-phosphateded hydrogenase, nitrogen, porphyria, pregnancy, lactation.
