Hypersensitivity, untreated thyrotoxicosis, acute myocardial infarction, acute myocarditis, untreated adrenal cortex insufficiency (to be compensated before treatment).
Use of Levothyroxine sodium in breastfeeding.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, treatment with sodium levothyroxine prescribed for hypothyroidism should continue. During pregnancy, an increase in the dose of the drug L-THYROXINE is required due to an increase in the level of thyroxine-binding globulin. The amount of thyroid hormone secreted with breast milk (even when treated with high doses of the drug L-THYROXINE) is not sufficient to cause any abnormalities in the baby when breastfeeding. Use in pregnancy in combination with thyrostatics is contraindicated, t; sodium levothyroxine may require an increase in thyroostatic doses. Because thyroostatics, unlike sodium levothyroxine, can penetrate the placenta, the fetus may develop hypothyroidism.
The FDA category of fetal activity. A.
During breastfeeding, the drug L-THYROXINE should be taken with caution, strictly in the recommended doses, under the supervision of a doctor.
