Pharmacological properties
Modelax®-H is a combination of active ingredients that provide fast and effective laxative action. The action occurs within 5-15 minutes after reception. It contains sodium citrate, which acts as a peptist, sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, which liquefies the contents of the intestine, and sorbitol, which enhances the laxative effect by stimulating water supply to the intestine. This complex mechanism helps soften the stool and facilitates natural bowel movements.
Indications for use Modelax®-H
Recommendations: Use for constipation, including cases of encopresis. Preparation for endoscopic examination (rectoscopy) and X-ray examination of the gastrointestinal tract.
Release Form Modelax®-H
The solution is rectal.
Each 5 mL of rectal solution is placed into a single-use microenema (a polyethylene tube with a universal or shortened polyethylene tip and a break-off seal).
An offset or self-adhesive paper label is affixed to each tube, or the text of the marking is affixed to the tube by a fast-fixing ink gravure. A ring mark representing half the length may be placed on the tip of the universal tube.
A small box of cardboard containing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20 short- or universal-tip microenemas is placed in a box of cardboard together with the instruction on medical use.
