The drug increases the acidity of gastric juice and has proteolytic properties, thereby improving digestion in the stomach. This is due to pepsin and hydrogen chloride (hydrochloric) acid, which is produced by hydrolysis of betaine hydrochloride.
Indications for use Acidin-pepsin
The drug is used to treat hypo- and anacide gastritis, achylia and dyspepsia.
Mode of application, course and dosage
It is taken by mouth during or after a meal. The tablets are pre-dissolved in 50-100 ml of water.
For adults: 500 mg three - four times a day.
For children: the dosage is 62.5-125 mg three to four times a day.
