Laxative. Macrogol 4000 is a linear polymer that holds water molecules by means of hydrogen bonds. This increases the osmotic pressure and the volume of intestinal contents.
The electrolytes included in the preparation prevent the body from disrupting the electrolyte water balance.

Method of use, course and dosage Macrogol
The drug is administered to adults and adolescents over the age of 15. Before use, the contents of 1 bag are completely dissolved in 1 liter of water.
The dose of the preparation is set at the rate of 1 liter of the prepared solution on 15-20 kg of body weight (on average 3-4 liters of solution).
The necessary dose can be taken once - 4 liters in the evening, on the eve of the study or operation. This volume can be divided into two receptions - two liters the night before and 2 liters in the morning. The treatment should be completed 3-4 hours before the procedure.
