Instructions for Gluconorm plus (Glibenclamide, Metformin)
Dosage form:
The tablets, which are coated with a film sheath of light yellow to yellow, are oval and double-convex. On a white or almost white cut.

Ingredients per tablet
Active substances:
glybenclamide - 5.00 mg,
metformin hydrochloride - 500 mg.
Auxiliary substances:
cellulose microcrystalline - 57.20 mg,
hyprolose (hydroxypropyl cellulose) - 13.80 mg,
sodium croskarmellose - 18.00 mg,
magnesium stearate - 6.00 mg.
Sheath for dosage 5 mg + 500 mg: VIVACOAT® RM-2R-050 [Hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose 6 cPs) - 9.00 mg, Hyprolose (hydroxypropyl cellulose) - 0.90 mg, Polyethylene glycol 3350 - 0.90 mg, Gitana dioxide - 4.75 mg, Talc - 1.80 mg, Iron oxide yellow (E172) - 0.26 mg, Quinoline yellow (E104) - 0.37 mg, Sun Sunset Dye Yellow (E110) - 0.02 mg] - 18.00 mg.
Pharmacotherapy group
hypoglycemic oral combined agent (biguanide+sulfonyl urea derivative)
Testimony Gluconorm plus:
- Type 2 diabetes in adults:
- in case of inefficiency of diet therapy,
- or exercise and prior monotherapy with metformin or sulfonyl urea derivatives
- for replacement of prior therapy with two drugs (metformin and sulfonyl urea derivatives) in patients with stable and
- well-controlled glycemia levels.
How to Take, Course of Intake and Dosage Gluconorm plus:
The dose is determined by the doctor individually for each patient depending on the level of glycemia. The initial dose is one tablet of the drug Gluconorm® Plus 2.5 mg + 500 mg once a day. In order to avoid hypoglycemia, the initial dose should not exceed the daily dose of glybenclamide (or equivalent dose to another previously taken sulfonyl urea) or metformin if used as a first-line therapy. It is recommended to increase the dose by no more than five mg of glybenclamide + 500 mg of metformin per day every two or more weeks to achieve adequate blood glucose control.
