Description Isofra:
Antibacterial drug for topical use in ENT practice
Structure:
Framycetin sulfate
Excipients: methylparabeya, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, citric acid, purified water.
Indications for use Isofra (framycetin):
As part of combination therapy for infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, including:
rhinitis
rhinopharyngitis
sinusitis (in the absence of damage to the septa)
Prevention and treatment of inflammatory processes after surgery
Pharmacodynamics framycetin:
An antibiotic from the aminoglycoside group for topical use in otolaryngology. It has a bactericidal effect. It is active against most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae), which cause the development of infectious processes in the upper respiratory tract.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to framycetin and other antibiotics from the aminoglycoside group. The drug should not be used to flush the paranasal sinuses. Pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding.
Side effects Isofra:
Allergic reactions are possible.
Method of preparation or use:
Adults: one spray in each nostril 4-6 times a day.
For children: one spray in each nostril 3 times a day.
The duration of treatment is no more than 7 days.
