Active substance Kreon Micro
Pancreatin
Pharmacotherapeutic group
Means for improving digestion, enzymes
Pharmacological effect Kreon Micro
Pancreatine contains pancreatic enzymes such as amylase, lipase, and protease.
These enzymes in the drug promote more efficient digestion of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins in the small intestine, improving their absorption. In case of pancreatic disorders, the drug replenishes the deficiency of its extracellular function, which helps to improve digestion.
Indications for use Kreon Micro
Pancreatine is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, so classical pharmacokinetic studies have not been done.
Method of use, dosage and treatment course Kreon Micro
The drug is taken by mouth.
The dosage, regimen and duration of treatment are selected individually depending on the disease, clinical situation, patient age and form of drug release. On average, adults are given 150,000 units per day. Treatments can range from a few days (for temporary digestive problems caused by dietary errors) to months or even years (for long-term replacement treatment).
