Pharmacological effect Mucofalk

The seed shell of the oval plantain contains hydrophilic fibers, which increase in size by absorbing water. This in turn stimulates motor skills and contributes to the normalization of the large intestine. The gel-forming fraction softens the stool and acts as a lubricant, improving bowel movements in constipation and painful defecation in patients with perianal lesions.

Indications Mucofalk

  • Acute and chronic constipation,
  • anal fissures,
  • hemorrhoids,
  • postoperative period after anorectal procedures (to produce softer stools).

Method of use, course and dosage Mucofalk

The drug is taken by mouth in the form of infusions 1-3 times a day, 30 minutes before meals or two hours after meals.

Treatment course: for acute constipation - until the complete disappearance of symptoms (1-2 days); for chronic constipation - up to 4 weeks, after which a week's break and, if necessary, repetition of the course is possible; for anal fractures and hemorrhoids - until there is no discomfort in defecation (up to 4 weeks, with possible repetition after a week's break); in the postoperative period after anorectal procedures - according to the doctor's recommendation (up to 4 weeks).
