Description Nazol Baby:
A vasoconstrictor drug for topical use in ENT practice.
Composition:
100 ml contain:
Active ingredient: phenylephrine hydrochloride 0.125 g;
excipients:
benzalkonium chloride 0.018 g, glycerol 5 g, macrogol 1500 1.5 g, sodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate 0.226 g, potassium dihydrogen phosphate 0.101 g, disodium edetate dihydrate 0.02 g, purified water 94.76 g
Indications for use Nazol Baby::
Acute sinusitis, acute rhinitis; acute otitis media (as part of complex therapy).
Pharmacokinetics Nazol Baby:
When applied topically, systemic absorption is low.
PharmacodynamicsNazol Baby:
Phenylephrine hydrochloride is an alpha 1-adrenergic receptor agonist (sympathomimetic) that has a vasoconstrictor effect by stimulating alpha 1 receptors in the nasal mucous membranes, reduces swelling of the mucous membranes and tissue hyperemia, congestion in the nasal mucosa, and also improves the patency of the nasal airways
Contraindications Nazol:
Increased individual sensitivity to the ingredients of the drug; severe uncontrolled arterial hypertension, acute cardiovascular diseases, tachyarrhythmia, severe hyperthyroidism, conditions after transsphenoidal hypophysectomy. atrophic rhinitis, simultaneous administration of MAO inhibitors (as well as 2 weeks after their cancellation), inflammation of the skin and mucous membrane of the vestibule of the nose, children up to 2 months of age.
With caution
Children's age (up to 6 years), angle-closure glaucoma, diseases of the cardiovascular system, arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, diseases of the thyroid gland. In such cases, it is advisable to consult a doctor.
Side effects Nazol Baby:
Local reactions: sometimes a burning sensation, tingling or tingling sensation in the nose, irritation of the mucous membranes of the nasal cavity.
Systemic effects: allergic reactions (itching or skin rash, swelling of the hands, face or throat, tightness in the throat, shortness of breath), headache, dizziness, palpitations.
Potentially possible symptoms (with systemic absorption): ventricular premature beats, short paroxysms of ventricular tachycardia, a feeling of heaviness in the head and extremities, excessive increase in blood pressure, agitation, paranoia, hallucinations, nausea, vomiting.
Method of preparation or use Nazol:
Intranasally.
For children aged
2 months to 1 year, a single dose - 1 drop in each nasal passage;
from 1 to 2 years a single dose - 1-2 drops in each nasal passage;
from 2 to 5 years, a single dose - 2-3 drops in each nasal passage.
Wipe the pipette dry after usфe.
The duration of treatment is no more than 3 days.
Apply no more than 4 times a day, no more than every 4 hours.
Special instructions Nazol Baby
For children from 2 months to 1 year, use strictly as directed by a doctor and no more often than every 6 hours.
