ATX codes
L03A Simulators
Pharmacological groups / Group membership:
Immunostimulant
Active substance:
sodium oxide
Pharmacy Group:
Immunostimulus
Pharmaceuticals:
Immunostimulus. It has anti-virus activity in relation to DNA- and RNA-genomic viruses. It has a pronounced anti-chlamydia effect. The activity is related to the ability to induce formation in the body of high titras of endogenous interferons, especially the interferon of alpha.
Neovir activates bone marrow stem cells, T-lymphocytes and macrophages. It exhibits immunomodulation activity, normalizing the balance between subpopulations of T-helper and T-suppressor cells. In a number of diseases contribute to the reduction of products in the body of the FNO (HIV-infection, herpes) and to activate natural Killer cells (in tumor diseases). Significantly increases the activity of polymorphno-nuclear leukocytes.
In case of HIV infection has immunomodulation effect: increases the absorptive activity of blood serum, increases the ability of leukocytes to synthesize the interferon of alpha, stimulates the formation of active forms of oxygen by phagocytes.
