Indication:
Superficial bacterial eye infections caused by sensitive microorganisms in adults and children over 1 year old.
Pharmacokinetics Levofloxacin:
The maximum concentration of levofloxacin in plasma after application of eye drops is 1000 times less than systemic use.
Pharmacodynamics Oftaquix:
Fluoroquinolone, broad-spectrum antimicrobial bactericidal agent.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity, incl. to other quinolones, pregnancy, lactation, children under 1 year of age.
Side effects Levofloxacin:
Often: burning sensation in the eyes, decreased visual acuity, the appearance of mucous cords.
Rarely: blepharitis, conjunctival chemosis, papillary growths on the conjunctiva, edema of the eyelids, discomfort in the eye, itching of the conjunctiva, eye pain, conjunctival hyperemia, the appearance of follicles on the conjunctiva, xerophthalmia, erythema of the eyelid, irritation and irritation headache, rhinitis.
Method of preparation or use Oftaquix:
Locally, 1-2 drops into the affected eye every 2 hours up to 8 times a day during wakefulness during the first 2 days, then 4 times a day from 3 to 5 days. The duration of treatment is 5 days.
