Pharmacological effect Diosmin
Diosmin belongs to the group of bioflavonoids, it has phlebotonizing (reduces the stretching of veins, increases the tonus of veins (dose-dependent effect), reduces venous stasis), improves lymphatic drainage (increases the tonus and reduction frequency of lymphatic capillaries, increases their functional density, reduces lymphatic pressure), improves microcirculation (increases the resistance of capillaries (dose-dependent effect), reduces their permeability), reduces the adhesion of leukocytes to the venous wall and their migration to paravenous tissues, improves oxygen diffusion and perfusion in the skin tissue, and has anti-inflammatory properties with a palette action.
It enhances the vasoconstricting effect of adrenaline, noradrenaline, inhibits the production of free radicals, the synthesis of prostaglandins and thromboxane.

Method of use, course and dosage Diosmin
The drug is intended for ingestion.
In the case of varicose veins of the lower extremities and chronic lymphovenous insufficiency, the drug is used one tablet per day in the morning on an empty stomach. The duration of therapy is usually two months.
For severe forms of chronic lymphovenous insufficiency (edema, pain, cramps, etc.), treatment may be longer (the total duration of continuous therapy should not exceed three to four months).
The courses of treatment with the preparation Flebof® are repeated in two - three months.
For the treatment of chronic lymphovenous insufficiency during the II and III trimesters of pregnancy, the drug is used once a day. The duration of therapy is no more than thirty days. It is necessary to stop taking the drug two to three weeks before delivery.
