Pharmacological effect Picodinar
The active ingredient is sodium picosulfate, which is a laxative belonging to the triarylmethane group. Sodium picosulfate, as a local laxative, promotes motility and accumulation of water and electrolytes in the colon after bacterial cleavage. It stimulates bowel movements, speeds up evacuation, and softens stools.
Sodium picosulfate, a colonic agent, facilitates the natural excretion of contents from the lower GI tract without affecting the digestion or absorption of nutrients from the small intestine.

It is used as a laxative in the following cases:
Constipation caused by colonic atony and hypotension (including older patients, patients who are recumbent, patients who have undergone surgery, childbirth and lactation);
Constipation caused by medication sodium picosulfate
Adjustment of stool for hemorrhoids, proctitis, anal fissures (to soften the stool);
Gallbladder disease, constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome;

Method of use, course and dosage Picodinar
Reception: inside.
Dosage for adults and children over 10 years: 10-20 drops (5-10 mg) per day.
For children aged 4 to 10 years: 5-10 drops (2.5-5 mg) per day.
It is recommended to start with the lowest dose. The dose can be increased to the maximum recommended dose to achieve daily stool. Do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose.
Dosage for children under 4 years of age: 0.25 mg/kg body weight per day. This is equivalent to 1 drop of the drug (0.5 mg sodium picosulfate) per 2 kg body weight per day.
For laxative effect in the morning, take the drug the day before bedtime.
Keep the vial vertically while applying.
The drug does not need to be dissolved in liquid.
