Instructions for Pylobact AM (Omeprazole, Clarithromycin, Tinidazole)
Pylobact is an antiulcer drug that has a bactericidal effect on Helicobacter pylori (a spiral-shaped gram-negative bacterium that lives exclusively in the human stomach).
Release form and composition:
Pylobact is produced in the form of a combined set of tablets and capsules (2 capsules of omeprazole, 2 tablets of clarithromycin and 2 tablets of tinidazole (6 in total) in blisters, 7 blisters in a cardboard box). The active ingredient is a part of 1 capsule of omeprazole: omeprazole - 20 mg. The active ingredient is contained in 1 clarithromycin film-coated tablet: clarithromycin - 250 mg. The composition of 1 film-coated tablet of tinidazole contains the active substance: tinidazole - 500 mg.
Pylobact AM Indications for use:
Pylobact is prescribed for eradication therapy of Helicobacter pylori (Helicobacter pylori) for duodenal ulcer.
Contraindications:
Porphyria;
Oppression of bone marrow hematopoiesis;
Hepatic / renal impairment;
Organic diseases of the central nervous system;
Simultaneous use with ethanol,
terfenadine,
cisapride,
astemizole,
pimozide;
Pregnancy and lactation;
Age under 18; Hypersensitivity to omeprazole, tinidazole or clarithromycin, as well as to drugs of the macrolide group.
Pylobact AM Method of administration and dosage:
Pylobact is taken orally, preferably during meals or after meals. Tablets and capsules must be swallowed whole without breaking or chewing them.
A single dose of Pylobact is:
- Omeprazole - 1 capsule;
- Clarithromycin - 1 tablet
- Tinidazole - 1 tablet.
The frequency of taking the drug is 2 times a day (in the morning and evening). The duration of the treatment course is 7 days.
Side effects:
Digestive system: dry mouth, flatulence, dysbiosis, constipation or diarrhea, vomiting, metallic taste in the mouth, stomatitis, nausea, abdominal pain, taste disturbances, decreased appetite, transient increase in the activity of liver enzymes in plasma, liver functional disorders, hepatitis ( including jaundice), encephalopathy with a history of liver disease; rarely - pseudomembranous enterocolitis;
Central nervous system: tinnitus, ataxia, headache, agitation, dizziness, increased fatigue, drowsiness, weakness, insomnia, depression, paresthesia, confusion, epileptic reactions, hallucinations, disorientation, peripheral neuropathy, depersonalization, fear, convulsions, nightmarish dreams, psychosis;
Musculoskeletal system: myalgia, muscle weakness, arthralgia;
Hematopoietic system: thrombocytopenic purpura, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, anemia; Skin: itching; rarely - skin rash; very rarely - exudative erythema multiforme, photosensitivity, alopecia; Allergic reactions: anaphylactic shock, angioedema, urticaria, bronchospasm;
Others: fever, increased sweating, tachycardia, blurred vision, interstitial nephritis, peripheral edema, gynecomastia.
Pylobact AM special instructions:
Before starting a treatment course, it is necessary to exclude a malignant process (masking symptoms can make it difficult to make a correct diagnosis).
Caution must be observed when combined with drugs metabolized by the liver.
When used in combination with warfarin or other indirect anticoagulants, it is necessary to control the prothrombin time.
If there is a history of heart disease, concomitant use with cisapride, terfenadine, astemizole is not recommended.
Tinidazole may cause dark urine staining.
During therapy, care must be taken when driving vehicles and performing other potentially hazardous types of work that require a high concentration of attention and quick psychomotor reactions.
