Pharmacological effect Rozamet
Metronidazole, the active ingredient of the drug, has a broad spectrum of action against various microorganisms. It is effective against gram-negative aerobic bacteria such as Helicobacter pylori, as well as anaerobic bacteria including Bacteroides fragilis, Bifidobacterium spp., Bilophila spp., Clostridium spp. (including Clostridium difficile and Clostridium perfringens), Eubacterium spp., Fusobacterium spp., Peptostreptococcus spp., Prevotella spp., Porphyromonas spp., and Veillonella spp. It is also active against protozoa such as Entamoeba histolytica, Giardia intestinalis, and Trichomonas vaginalis.
The mechanism of action of metronidazole includes its antiparasitic and antimicrobial properties, as well as its anti-inflammatory effect. It is especially effective in the treatment of papulopustular inflammatory elements of rosacea
