Mechanism of action: hydrolyzes in the intestine, forming an active form that irritates the receptors of the mucosa and increases peristalsis.
Effect: accumulation of water and electrolytes in the large intestine stimulates the act of defecation, reduces evacuation time and softens the stool.
Indications for use Slabilen

Mode of application and dose
It is recommended to start with the lowest dose. To achieve regular stool, the dose may be increased to the maximum recommended. Do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose. Because the drug is not addictive, the dose can be individually adjusted by the patient; the dose can be reduced depending on individual needs, or the drug can be used as a single dose as needed.

Children over 10 years and adults 10-20 drops (5-10 mg) per day 10 mg (20 drops)
Children 4-10 years 5-10 drops (2.5-5 mg) per day five mg (10 drops)
Children 0-4 years one drop (0.5 mg sodium picosulfate) per 2 kg body weight per day
The recommended dose for children under 4 years of age is 0.25 mg/kg body weight per day.
To achieve laxative effect, the drug should be taken in the morning hours the day before bedtime. The drug does not have to be dissolved in liquid.
Increased physical activity, adequate intake of dietary fiber (20-25 g per day) and liquid (at least 2 L) are recommended to restore the natural rhythm of defecation.
