Description:
Antiseptic.
Composition:
active substances:
2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol + p-pentyl-m-cresol (amylmetacresol) + levomenthol
Indications for use Strepsils:
Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity, throat, larynx: tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis (including of a professional nature - in teachers, speakers, workers in the chemical and coal industries), hoarseness, inflammation of the oral mucosa and gums (aphthous stomatitis, gingivitis, thrush).
Pharmacodynamics:
The drug has an antiseptic effect, is active against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms in vitro, has an antimycotic effect.
Essential oils of menthol and eucalyptus relieve nasal congestion.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity, childhood (up to 6 years).
Side effects Strepsils:
Despite the widespread use of the drug, side effects were very rare.
Irritation of the mucous membranes of the mouth and stomach was rarely noted.
Allergic reactions are possible.
Method of preparation or use:
Inside.
Adults and children over 6 years old, slowly dissolve 1 table. every 2-3 hours.
The maximum daily dose is 6 tablets.
