The drug Strepsils has antiseptic properties (active against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms), has an antifungal effect, has antiviral properties. The effectiveness of the drug is due to the presence of 2 antibacterial components of a wide spectrum of action, which reduce sore throat and reduce inflammation. Amylmetacresol destroys the protein structure of bacteria, which provides a bactericidal effect. 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol has a bacteriostatic effect by dehydrating the bacterial cell. APPLICATION Strepsils for kids:
OF STREPSILS FOR CHILDREN 6+ for oral administration. Recommended for adults and children over 6 years of age. Apply 1 lozenge every 2–3 hours. Slowly dissolve the lozenge until it is completely dissolved. Recommended for use within 3 days. Do not use more than 8 lozenges within 24 hours. If symptoms persist or worsen, you should consult a doctor for additional adjustment of the treatment regimen. Do not adjust the dose in elderly patients. Children . Not recommended for use in children under 6 years of age.

The following adverse reactions have been reported with short-term use of 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol and amylmetacresol in over-the-counter doses.
