Pharmacological effect Thymogen

Thymogen is an immunostimulant, dipeptide.
It has immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, desensitizing, antioxidant and reparative effects. It interacts with T-lymphocytes, Langerhans cells (macrophages) and skin mast cells to normalize their functional activity and intercellular interactions.
Promotes decreased antigen/IgE-mediated production of inflammatory mediators, proinflammatory cytokines, and biogenic amines (histamine and serotonin) in skin cells. It causes a decrease in the skin manifestations of allergic reactions with increased sensitivity to various allergens. Inhibits the inflammatory reaction to the effects of skin irritants in contact dermatitis. Reduces skin inflammation and itching of allergic dermatitis in the acute phase of the disease.
It inhibits free radical oxidation processes in pathologically altered skin cells, prevents their damage and death, stimulates production of antioxidant cell protection factors.
Stimulates the proliferation of keratinocytes, fibroblasts and endothelial cells, promoting the regeneration of damaged skin areas. Accelerates wound healing, stimulates cellular and humoral (tissue) protective factors.

Indications include Thymogen

- Acute and chronic infectious-inflammatory diseases, such as bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, angina and others, which are accompanied by a reduction in cellular immunity.
- Prevent infectious complications and immune suppression, especially during radiotherapy or chemotherapy treatment.
- Post-traumatic and post-operative period, when regeneration and haematopoiesis need to be improved.
- Use of massive doses of antibiotics that can reduce immunity.
- Prevention and complex therapy of viral and bacterial respiratory tract infections, such as SARS, influenza, bronchitis and others.

How to take, course of reception and dosage Thymogen

You must inject the solution into a muscle once a day. For adults, the dose is 100 mcg/day, and the total dosage per course should be between 300 and 1000 mcg. Children aged 1 to 1 year should be given 10 mcg, 10 to 20 mcg for 1 to 3 years, 20 to 30 mcg for 4 to 6 years, and 50 mcg for 7 to 14 years.
Duration of treatment is 3 to 10 days, depending on the degree of immune abnormalities. If people need to be treated again, they can do so in 1 to 6 months.
