Description Afobazole Retard
The extended-release tablets, covered with a film shell of almost white color, are round, double-convex; on the cross section, the core is almost white or white with a yellowish-brown hue.

Auxiliary substances: collydon ®SR [polyvinylacetate - 80%, povidone - 19%, sodium lauryl sulfate - 0.8%, silicon dioxide - 0.2%] - 120 mg, hypromellose - 25 mg, lactose - 23 mg, magnesium stearate - 2 mg.
Shell composition: Opadray II 85 F18422 white [polyvinyl alcohol, partially hydrolyzed - 40%, titanium dioxide - 25%, macrogol 4000 - 20.2%, talc - 14.8%] - 6 mg.

Pharmacological effect Afobazole Retard
Selective nonbenzodiazepine anxiolytic. By acting on σ1 receptors in nerve cells in the brain, fabomotisol stabilizes GABA/benzodiazepine receptors and restores their sensitivity to endogenous inhibitory mediators. It also increases the bioenergy potential of neurons and has a neuroprotective effect: it restores and protects nerve cells.

- It is used in adults in anxiety conditions:
- generalized anxiety disorders;
- neurasthenia;
- adaptation disorders.
- In patients with various somatic diseases:
- bronchial asthma;
- irritable bowel syndrome; systemic lupus erythematosus; IBS;
- arterial hypertension;
- arrhythmias;
- dermatological,
- oncological and other diseases.
- In the treatment of: sleep disorders related to anxiety;
- neurocirculatory dystonia;
- premenstrual syndrome;
- alcohol withdrawal syndrome;
- to relieve "withdrawal" syndrome in the case of smoking cessation.
Method of use, course and dosage Afobazole Retard
Applied inside, after eating.
A single dose is ten mg; a daily dose of thirty mg in three doses throughout the day, the duration of course-of-application is two to four weeks. If necessary, on the recommendation of the doctor, the daily dose of the drug can be increased to sixty mg, and the duration of treatment to three months.

The preparation is contraindicated for use in children and adolescents under the age of 18
