Description:
- Antimicrobial and topically anesthetic drug for topical use in ENT practice
- Structure:
- polymyxin B sulfate
- neomycin sulfate
- (equivalent to 375000 IU)
- lidocaine hydrochloride
- auxiliary substances.
Indications for use:
- Acute and chronic external otitis;
- Medium acute otitis at the stage before perforation;
- Chronic exudative otitis media;
- Postoperative purulent complications after radical mastoidectomy, tympanoplasty, anthrotomy, fenestration.
Pharmacokinetics:
Pharmacokinetic studies were not conducted, since the drug ANAURAN is intended for topical use and systemic effects are unlikely.

Neomycin sulfate is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibacterial. Acts bactericidally against gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus pneumoniae) and gram-negative (Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteria, Shigella flexneri, Shigella boydii, Shigella sonnei, Proteeei in relation to Streptococcus spp. - inactive.
Polymyxin B is a polypeptide antibacterial. Active against Gram-negative microorganisms: Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteria, Shigella flexneri, Shigella boydii, Shigella sonnei, Salmonella typhi, Salmonella paratyphi, Pseudomonas aeruginosa. He is active against Proteus spp., Mycobacterium spp., gram-positive coccas, fungi. It has a weak locally irritating effect.
Lidocaine is a local anesthetic, quickly eliminates pain and itching.
Contraindications:
Increased sensitivity to any of the components of the ANAURAN.
Side effects:
Local allergic reactions are possible: hyperemia, itching and peeling of the skin of the external auditory canal, which disappear without treatment after withdrawal of the drug ANAURAN.
Systemic effects are unlikely due to low doses of the drug ANAURAN used. However, with long-term treatment, systemic side effects may occur, in particular ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity due to absorption of neomycin.
Method of preparation or application:
Locally, into the external auditory canal with a special pipette. After burying, keep your head tilted for a few minutes.
Adults - 4-5 drops 2-4 times a day, children - 2-3 drops 3-4 times a day, depending on the severity of the disease.
