excipients: trolamine - 50.0 mg, stearic acid 95 - 200.0 mg, macrogol-400 - 50.0 mg, water - up to 1.0 g.

Anti-sequeal drug for external use. It has a toxic effect on the scabies mite. Causes the death of larvae and adult scabies mites; no effect on eggs.
Mode of application:
Outwardly. Ointment is applied after washing for the night on the entire skin, excluding the face and scalp, rubbed with hands that are not washed until the morning, 30-40 g of ointment is spent for one rubbing. On the fourth day, the treatment is repeated, on the fifth day, washing is prescribed with the change of underwear and bed linen.
Pharmacokinetics:
Penetrates the upper layers of the epidermis, is not absorbed into the systemic circulation.

Special conditions:
Treatment of patients identified in the same outbreak, as well as contact persons, should be carried out simultaneously, in order to avoid re-infection. Preservation of itching after treatment is not an indication for the appointment of an additional course of specific therapy. Itching is a reaction of the body to the dead tick and its metabolic products and disappears when prescribing antihistamines and ointments with glucocorticosteroids. After treatment, medical supervision is required for 2 weeks, and in the presence of complications, a longer time.
All items that have come into contact with infected skin should be thoroughly processed. Bedding linen, towels boiled in a solution of detergent for 5-10 minutes. Outerwear ironed on both sides with a hot iron. Things not subject to heat treatment, hang out in the open air for 3 days. Shoes, toys and other items are excluded from use for 5 days and placed in a plastic bag. Mattresses, pillows, blankets are also excluded from use for 5 days or undergo chamber disinfection. Upholstered furniture can be treated with disinsection preparations. The apartment must be cleaned, mopping with detergents or the addition of disinfectants.

In case of ingestion of the drug:
in the oral cavity: rinse the mouth with plenty of water or 2% warm sodium bicarbonate solution (“baking soda”);
to the stomach: the stomach is washed with a 1% -2% solution of sodium bicarbonate, an aqueous mixture of burnt magnesia and activated carbon (1-2 tablespoons per glass of water);
in the nose: rinse thoroughly with water;
eyes: rinse thoroughly with water or sodium bicarbonate solution.

Drug interaction:
Pharmacological interaction of ointment Benzylbenzoate with other drugs have not been identified, but, like all antiparasitic agents, it is not recommended to be used simultaneously with other external medicines.
Overdose:
Since the local application of benzyl benzoate is practically not absorbed into the systemic circulation, no cases of drug overdose have been identified.
