Description Diclofenac
The gel for external use is 5% colorless or with a slight yellowish tinge, transparent, with a characteristic odor.

sodium diclofenac 5 mg
Auxiliary substances: isopropanol - 45 g, macrogol glycericocoat 7 - 6 g, hypromellose 4000 (in terms of dry matter) - 3 g, pine oil - 0.15 g, lavender oil - 0.05 g, water - up to 100 g.

Pharmacological effect Diclofenac
Topical NSAIDs derived from phenylacetic acid. It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. The mechanism of action is inhibition of COX-1 and COX-2 activity, which leads to impaired arachidonic acid metabolism and prostaglandin synthesis, which is a major link in the development of inflammation.
External use eliminates or relieves pain at the application site, reduces joint pain at rest and during movement, as well as morning stiffness and swelling of the joints. Increases the range of motion in affected joints.

Back pain due to inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the spine (radiculitis, osteoarthritis, lumbago, sciatica); joint pain (including finger joints, knees) due to rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis; muscle pain (due to sprains, strains, bruises, injuries); inflammation and swelling of soft tissues and joints due to injuries and rheumatic diseases (tenosynovitis, bursitis, periarticular tissue lesions).
Method of use, course and dosage Diclofenac
The amount of drug given externally depends on the size of the painful area. The single dose depends on the formulation used and the patient’s age.
Gel, ointment, spray for external use
Adults and children over the age of twelve years should apply the drug on the skin over the inflammation area three - four times a day, Children aged six to twelve years - up to two times a day.
Duration of use depends on indications and treatment efficacy. After two weeks of use, the patient should consult a doctor.
