Film coating: Opadray white OY-S-28924 (hypromellose-5sR - 1.87 mg, titanium dioxide - 1.02 mg, hypromellose-15sR - 0.62 mg, macrogol-4000 - 0.37 mg, macrogol-6000 - 0.37 mg) - 4.25 mg.

Pharmacological effect famciclovir

Antiviral drug. After ingestion, in vivo rapidly converts to pencyclovir, which has in vivo and in vitro activity against human herpes viruses, including Varicella zoster and Herpes simplex types 1 and 2, as well as Epstein-Barr and cytomegalovirus.

Infections caused by the Varicella zoster virus (shingles, including shingles with eye complications); infections caused by the Herpes simplex virus (primary infection, exacerbation of chronic infection, suppression of recurrent infection).

Method of use, course and dosage Favirox

Treatment should begin immediately after diagnosis.
A single dose of 250-500 mg is taken orally. The frequency and duration of use depend on indications, immunity status, kidney function, treatment effectiveness.
