Instructions for Imudon
Imudon Pharmacological properties:
An antigenic polyvalent complex preparation, which includes inactivated microorganisms, which are most often found in pathological processes of the oral cavity. Its anti-inflammatory and anti-infectious properties are due to the peculiarities of the immunobiological action: an increase in the activity of phagocytes with a qualitative improvement in phagocytosis, an increase in the content of lysozyme in saliva, stimulation and an increase in the number of immunocompetent cells that are responsible for the production of antibodies, an increase in the titer of local antibodies (secretory IgA of saliva). Imudon has a direct or indirect therapeutic effect in diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx, occurring with symptoms such as pain, erythema, gingivitis, ulcers, and bad breath.
Imudon Indications:
Treatment and prevention of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity - catarrhal and ulcerative gingivitis, acute, chronic and exacerbated periodontitis, infectious stomatitis, glossitis, acute and chronic aphthous stomatitis, decubital and traumatic ulcers of the oral mucosa, pre- and postoperative prevention of infectious complications in maxillofacial area.
Imudon Application:
For adults and children over the age of 3 years, in the treatment of acute inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and exacerbation of chronic diseases, the drug is prescribed 8 tablets per day. Tablets dissolve in the mouth without chewing, with an interval of 2-3 hours. The average duration of the course of treatment is 10 days. For the prevention of chronic diseases of the oral cavity, the drug is prescribed 6 tablets per day with an interval of 3-4 hours. The average duration of the course of treatment is 20 days. It is recommended to repeat preventive treatment courses 2-3 times a year.
Imudon Contraindications;
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Imudon Side effects
In isolated cases, allergic reactions (skin rash, urticaria, angioedema), gastralgia, nausea and vomiting.
Imudon special instructions:
In order to avoid a decrease in the local activity of the drug, rinsing the mouth is allowed no earlier than 1 hour after taking Imudon. After using Imudon, you should not eat for 30 minutes.
One tablet of Imudon contains 15 mg of sodium, which should be taken into account when prescribing to patients on a low-salt diet, patients with hypertension and kidney disease.
Imudon is not intended for long-term use. If the symptoms of the disease persist after 8 days from the start of treatment and / or are accompanied by an increase in body temperature, the tactics of treatment should be reconsidered.
The drug is not recommended to be prescribed to children under the age of 3 years due to the impossibility of ensuring the correct use of the drug, as well as taking into account the peculiarities of the formation of the immune system in children.
There are no adequate data on the use during pregnancy.
