participates in most metabolic reactions, activates more than 300 enzymes. An indispensable element in the processes that ensure the supply and consumption of energy. Participates in the balance of electrolytes, ion transport, membrane permeability, in the regulation of the transmission of nerve impulses and in muscle contraction. It is a natural calcium antagonist.

Pharmacokinetics:

The drug is slowly and not completely absorbed into the gastrointestinal tract.

With malabsorption syndrome and eating foods rich in fats, a drug absorption is slowly reduced. The unabsorbed part of is excreted through the intestines.

The serum contains about 1% of absorbed (0.8–1.0 mmol / L). Approximately 45% of a drug binds to intracellular proteins and high-energy phosphates and is deposited in skeletal muscles, kidneys, liver and myocardium.
The rest of the vitamins are deposited in the bone tissue; in small quantities - in the intercellular fluid and erythrocytes.
