A combination drug.
Paracetamol is an analgesic antipyretic. It has analgesic, antipyretic and mild anti-inflammatory effects. The mechanism of action is related to inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, predominantly affecting the center of thermoregulation in the hypothalamus. The absence of any effect on the synthesis of prostaglandins in peripheral tissues causes it to have no negative effect on water-salt metabolism (sodium and water retention) and the gastrointestinal mucosa.
