Drugs
NSAIDs, a derivative of naphtylpropionic acid. It has an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effect.
The mechanism of action is associated with inhibition of the enzyme COX, which leads to the suppression of the synthesis of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid.
It suppresses platelet aggregation.
Naproxen reduces pain syndrome, including joint pain at rest and when moving, morning stiffness and swelling of the joints, helps to increase the volume of movement. The anti-inflammatory effect comes towards the end of the 1st week of treatment.

How to use, course and dosage:

Set individually taking into account the severity of the course of the disease.
Inside adults - 0.5-1 g/day in 2 receptions. The daily dose for supportive treatment is 500 mg.
The maximum daily intake is 1.75 grams.

Medicinal interaction:

When used simultaneously with antacids containing magnesium and aluminum, sodium hydrocarbonate reduces the absorption of naproxen.
With simultaneous use with indirect anticoagulants, cases of a slight increase in the action of anticoagulants are described.
With simultaneous use with amoxicillin, a case of nephrotic syndrome is described; with acetylsalicylic acid - possible decrease in the concentration of naproxen in the blood plasma.

With simultaneous use, it is possible to change the pharmacokinetic parameters of diazepam; with caffeine - the effect of naproxen is enhanced; with lithium carbonate - possibly increasing the concentration of lithium in the blood plasma; with methotrexate - possible increase in the toxicity of methotrexate.
There are reports of the development of myoclonus with simultaneous use with morphine.
With simultaneous use with prednisone, a significant increase in the concentration of prednisone in the blood plasma is possible; with protenacide - reducing the concentration of naproxen in the blood plasma; with salicylamide - the effect of salicylamide is enhanced.
With simultaneous use with furosemide, it is possible to reduce diuretic furosemide.

Use in pregnancy and breast-feeding
Caution is used in pregnancy (especially in the first and third trimesters) and during lactation.
Naproxen penetrates the placental barrier, is excreted with breast milk in small quantities.

Side effect:

From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, discomfort in the epigastria; rarely - erosive ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, bleeding and perforation of the gastrointestinal tract, impaired liver function.
From the CNS and peripheral nervous system: headache, drowsiness, slowing the rate of psychomotor reactions; rarely - hearing impairment.
From the blood system: rarely - thrombocytopenia, granulocytopenia, aplastic anemia, hemolytic anemia.
From the respiratory system: rarely - eosinophil pneumonia.
From the urinary system: rarely - impaired kidney function.
Allergic reactions: skin rash, hives, swelling of Kwinke.
With rectal application: the appearance of mucous secretions with blood impurities, painful defecation.

Contradictions to use

Erosion-ulcer lesions of the gastrointestinal tract in the phase of aggravation, "aspirin triad", disorders of blood, severe disorders of kidney function (KK less than 20 ml/min), severe liver dysfunction, children's age up to 12 years; hypersensitivity to naproxen and other NSAIDs.
