The drug Noliprel® A B-forte is a combined preparation containing indapamide and perindopril arginine. The pharmacological properties of Noliprel® A B-forte drug combine the properties of each of its active ingredients.

The combination of perindopril and indapamide enhances the antihypertensive effect of each.
Indapamide
Indapamide belongs to the sulfonamide group, and is pharmacologically close to the thiazide diuretics. Indapamide inhibits the reabsorption of sodium ions in the cortical segment of the Genle loop, which leads to an increase in the removal of sodium, chlorine and, to a lesser extent, potassium and magnesium ions by the kidneys, thereby enhancing diuresis and reducing AD.
Perindopril
Perindopril is an inhibitor of the enzyme that converts angiotensin I to angiotensin II (ACE inhibitor). ACE, or kininase II, is an exopeptidase that performs both the conversion of angiotensin I into the vasoconstrictive substance angiotensin II and the destruction of bradykinin, which has a vasodilating effect, to an inactive heptapeptide.

In older patients, QCs are calculated based on age, body weight and sex. Elderly patients with normal kidney function are given Noliprel® A B-forte once a day, and the degree of AD reduction should be monitored.
The drug Noliprel® A B-forte is contraindicated in patients with moderate to severe kidney dysfunction (QC less than 60 ml/min). Patients with CC≥60 ml/min need regular monitoring of the concentration of creatinine and potassium in blood plasma on the background of therapy.
The drug Noliprel® A B-forte is contraindicated with severe liver dysfunction. In case of moderate liver function disorder, dose correction is not required.
The drug Noliprel® A B-forte should not be prescribed to children and adolescents under the age of 18, due to the lack of data on the effectiveness and safety of the use of the drug in patients of this age group.
