Instructions for Pikovit D (Multivitamins) 30 pills
Pharmacological properties:
Pikovit is a multivitamin preparation containing 10 basic vitamins, as well as calcium and phosphorus. Vitamins included in the preparation have high biological activity, participate in the regulation of important biochemical processes in the body. Group B vitamins, pantothenic acid and nicotinamide are involved in the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, necessary for the normal functioning of the nervous system. Vitamin A stimulates epithelial repair and regenerative processes, participates in the synthesis of visual pigment. D3 vitamin р egulirut calcium exchange, provides the correct mineralization of bones and teeth. Vitamin C accelerates iron absorption in the digestive tract and participates in redox processes. Calcium and phosphorus, which are part of Pikovit, are the main mineral components of bone tissue and teeth. The drug has a pleasant fruity taste; is intended mainly for use in pediatric practice.
Indications:
Polyhypovitaminosis; increased need for vitamins and compensation for their insufficient intake with reduced appetite, poor nutrition, psychoemotional and physical overload in school-age children, stunting and development; as a dietary vitamin supplement; to increase efficiency and reduce severity of side effects due to antibiotic therapy.
Application:
For the prevention of hypovitaminosis, children aged 4-6 years are prescribed 1 tablet 1-2 times a day, 7-14 years old - 1 tablet 2-3 times a day.
For therapeutic purposes, children aged 4-6 years are prescribed 4 tablets per day, 7-14 years old - 5 tablets per day. The duration of the drug is set individually; with reduced appetite, the continuous course of taking tablets is 2 months. The tablets are resorbed in the mouth until completely dissolved.
Contraindications:
Intolerance of one of the components of the drug.
Side effects:
Allergic reactions are possible.
Special instructions:
Each Pikovit tablet contains 0.6 g of sugar; the energy value of 1 tablet is 17 kJ (4 kcal). Each Picovit D tablet contains 0.6 g of maltitol; the energy value of 1 tablet is 6 kJ (1.4 kcal).
Pikovit is not prescribed to children under the age of 4 due to the complexity of their use in this age group.
The use of tablets during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible only if prescribed by a doctor.
Do not exceed the recommended doses of the drug.
Overdose:
Prolonged administration of Pikovit at high doses can lead to the development of hypervitaminosis A and D, although the likelihood of this is insignificant.
