Instructions for Pikovit (Multivitamins)

Pharmacological properties:

Multivitamin preparation containing 9 basic vitamins. Vitamins included in the preparation have high biological activity, participate in the regulation of important biochemical processes in the body. Group B vitamins, pantothenic acid and nicotinamide are involved in the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, necessary for the normal functioning of the nervous system. Vitamin A stimulates epithelial repair and regenerative processes, participates in the synthesis of visual pigment. D3 vitamin р egulirut calcium exchange, provides the correct mineralization of bones and teeth. Vitamin C accelerates iron absorption in the digestive tract and participates in redox processes.

Indications:

Polyhypovitaminosis; Increased need for vitamins and compensation for inadequate intake of vitamins for anorexia, malnutrition, psychoemotional and physical overload in school-age children, stunted growth and development
as a dietary vitamin supplement
to increase efficiency and reduce severity of side effects due to antibiotic therapy.

Application:

For therapeutic purposes, children aged 1 to 3 years are prescribed 1 teaspoon of syrup (5 ml) 2 times a day, from 4 to 6 years old - 1 teaspoon of syrup 3 times a day, from 7 to 14 years old - 1 teaspoon of syrup 3-4 times a day.

For the prevention of hypovitaminosis, children aged 1 year to 3 years are prescribed 1/2 hour a spoon of syrup per day, 4-6 years - 1 teaspoon of syrup per day, 7-14 years - 11/2 hour a spoon per day.

The duration of the drug is set individually; with reduced appetite, a continuous course of syrup is 1 month. Syrup is prescribed after eating in pure form or with tea, juice, fruit puree.

Contraindications:

Intolerance of one of the components of the drug.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible.

Special instructions:

1 A teaspoon of syrup contains 3 g of sucrose. Picovit syrup is not recommended to be prescribed to patients with diabetes mellitus.
The drug cannot be used in congenital fructose intolerance, malabsorption syndrome and saccharase and isomaltase deficiency.
The use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible only if prescribed by a doctor.
Do not exceed the recommended doses of the drug.

Overdose:

Long-term use of Picovit syrup at high doses can lead to the development of hypervitaminosis A and D, although the likelihood of this is insignificant.
