Pharmacological effect
Antifungal agent derived from triazole. The mechanism of action is related to the ability to inhibit cytochrome P450-dependent enzymes of sensitive fungi, which leads to disruption of ergosterol synthesis of the cell wall of the fungus. It has a wider range of antifungal effects than ketoconazole.
