Pharmacological effect Skin-cap
Means for external use. Zinc pyrithione activated has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal activity. Antifungal activity is particularly prominent with Pityrosporum ovale and Pityrosporum orbiculare, which cause inflammation and excessive scaling in dandruff, seborrhea, psoriasis, and other skin disorders. The antibacterial activity of zinc pyrithione is manifested against a number of pathogens (streptococcus, staphylococcus, cyanophilus and E. coli, etc.). Zinc pyrithione lowers intracellular levels of ATP, promotes depolarization of cell membranes, causing the death of fungi and bacteria.

Method of use, course and dosage Skin-cap
The drug pyrithione zinc is applied externally.
Shake the bottle vigorously before using the shampoo. Apply a small amount of skin-cap shampoo on wet hair and massage the scalp. Rinse and apply the shampoo again. Leave the shampoo on the hair for 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. The drug is used two to three times a week for the first two weeks. Treatment is 5 weeks for psoriasis and 2 weeks for seborrhea. During remission, shampoo can be used once or twice a week as a means of preventing relapses.
After intensive shaking, topical cream is applied in a thin layer to the affected skin areas twice a day. The treatment course for psoriasis is 1-1.5 months, for atopic dermatitis - three - four weeks.
The aerosol for external use is sprayed in sufficient quantities on the affected skin areas from a distance of about 15 cm. It is used two to three times a day until a clinical effect is achieved. To achieve a lasting effect, it is recommended that the drug be continued for one week after symptoms resolve. Shake the balloon repeatedly before use. Keep the bottle upright during spraying. For the treatment of the scalp with aerosol, a special nozzle is attached.
