Storage Conditions
Store the drug Thiocetam in a place inaccessible to children, protected from light at a temperature of 15 to 25 ° C.

Shelf life is 2 years. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package.

Method of use, course and dosage:
Inside, 30 minutes before the meal.
For chronic disorders of cerebral circulation and in the recovery period after ischemic stroke 2 pills 3 times/day for 25-30 days. The course of treatment can be extended to 3-4 months.
For the treatment of diabetic encephalopathy, 2 tablets are prescribed 3 times/day for 45 days.
The last dose is taken not later than 17 h (to prevent sleep disturbance).
Application for kidney disorders
It is contraindicated in severe chronic kidney failure (creatinine clearance is less than 20 ml/min).
With caution, the drug Thiocetam is prescribed to patients with chronic kidney failure (creatinine clearance 20-80 ml/min). Thiocetam affects the aggregation of platelets, so it must be used with care for patients with haemostasis disorder, surgical interventions, severe bleeding.

Application in elderly patients
Caution should be exercised in elderly persons with cardiovascular pathology due to the fact that in this group of patients there are more frequent adverse reactions.
For long-term therapy in elderly patients, regular monitoring of kidney function is recommended, if necessary, dose correction depending on creatinine clearance.
Use in children
There is no experience with the drug for treating children, so the drug Thiocetam is contraindicated for treating children under 18.
