Pharmacological effect Trypsin

Trypsin is a crystalline, enzyme-based proteolytic preparation derived from the pancreas of cattle.

Trypsin has pronounced anti-inflammatory and anti-edema properties, is capable of cleaving dead areas of tissue, fibrinose formations, viscous secrets and exudates. In relation to healthy tissues, the enzyme is inactive and safe due to the presence of trypsin inhibitors (specific and non-specific). Does not affect the hemostasis system.

  • lung abscesses;
  • an exudative pleurism;
  • post-operative atectasis;
  • pleura empiema;
  • treatment of pus wounds and burns;
  • chronic purulent otitis;
  • gnarly sinusitis, haimorites;
  • acute thrombophlebitis;
  • acute and chronic odontogenic osteomyelitis;
  • inflammatory-dystrophic forms of periodontitis;
  • acute irides and iridocyclites;
  • hemorrhaging in the eye chamber and swelling of ocular tissues after injuries and surgeries;
  • obstruction of the teargas.

Method of use, course and dosage Trypsin

Trypsin crystalline is applied in/m, intrapleularly, in the form of aerosols and electrophoresis.

B/m: adults 0.005-0.01 g 1-2 times/day, children 0.0025 g 1 times/day. For injection, 0.005 g of crystalline trypsin is diluted, immediately before application, into a 1-2 ml 0.9% solution of sodium chloride or 0.5-2% solution of procaine. The course of treatment is 6-15 injections. Electrophoresis with trypsin is also used: 10 mg of trypsin (dissolve in 15-20 ml of distilled water) is applied to one procedure, and is administered from the negative pole.

Inhalation: 0.005-0.01 g each in two - three ml 0.9% solution of sodium chloride through an inhaler or through a bronchoscope. After inhalation, rinse the mouth with warm water and rinse the nose.

Eye drops: 0.2-0.25% solution, which is prepared immediately before application, three - four times/day for 1-3 days.

Intrapleural: 1 times/day 10-20 mg of the preparation dissolved in 20-50 ml 0.9% sodium chloride solution, after administration it is desirable to frequently change the position of the body; on the second day after installation, as a rule, diluted exudate is released.

Locally: in the form of a powder or solution, compresses are applied to dry or necrotizing wounds (the solution is prepared immediately before use: 50 mg of trypsin is dissolved in five ml of sterile water or saline solution, in the treatment of suppurating wounds - in 5 ml of phosphate buffer solution). A three-layer fabric made of dialdehydrocellulose, impregnated with trypsin, is applied to the wound (after processing it) and attached with a bandage, left on the wound for not more than 24 hours. Before application, the fabric is wetted with distilled water or a solution of furacilin. The time of complete cleansing of the wound from necrotic tissues and pus - 24-72 hours. If necessary - used again.
