Pharmacological effect Zalain
An antifungal preparation derived from imidazole and benzothiophen. In therapeutic doses, it has fungistatic and fungicidal effects. The mechanism of action consists in suppressing the synthesis of ergosterol and increasing the permeability of the cell membrane of the fungus, which leads to the lysis of the mushroom cell.
Active in relation to Candida spp. It also has antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp.).

Method of use, course and dosage
The drug is used once. 1 vaginal suppository is injected deep into the vagina, lying on the back, before bed. If the clinical symptoms persist, the drug may be readministered after seven days.
Before using the preparation, the external genitals should be washed using neutral or alkaline soap.
