All people have problems and stresses from time to time. Anxiety is also a familiar feeling. It's not for nothing that life is compared to zebra. The black stripe should always be followed by the white one.

But if anxiety and stress are constantly changing, the dark period can drag on indefinitely, and we need to understand how to break this vicious cycle.

What is the difference between anxiety and stress

The two are often confused. This may be because chronic stress often develops into a constant state of anxiety. This, in turn, disrupts the nervous system. Headaches, insomnia, and other unpleasant symptoms occur. And in such a state, the person reacts more acutely to the problems, which again leads to stress.

But stress and anxiety are not the same thing. Because stress occurs in response to specific external factors, that is, stress always has a cause. For example, problems at work or in relationships. And anxiety is related to fear, uncertainty. Think of a fairy tale in which a grandmother roared over an unborn child, imagining how he fell into a well and drowned.

Thus, the reason for stress may be dismissal from work, and anxiety appears due to the fear of possible dismissal. Despite the differences between the two, they often become allies and can make life very difficult.

For anxiety, use another method:

Change your thinking.
Try to avoid negative thoughts.
Learn to look for positive moments in any event.
Meditate, focus your attention on the positive.
Take a step toward your fear. For example, if you are afraid of being fired, start a different profession.
Or imagine that the worst has already happened. Work out a clear plan of action in this situation.
Minimize coffee consumption.
It may increase symptoms of anxiety.
Keep a diary.
That way you can talk your fears out, and maybe the solution will come naturally.
Anxiety and stress can be life-poisoning.
They don't let you be happy or happy.
So, if you're facing them, don't stand idly by. Don't let them take over you.
And if you can't cope on your own, then contact a specialist.
Let your life shine only bright colors and will be like a beautiful parrot, not a zebra.
