Pharmacological effect Desal:
Long-acting antihistamine drug Desal, peripheral histamine H1-receptor blocker. Desloratadine is the primary active metabolite of loratadine. Inhibits the cascade of reactions of allergic inflammation, including the release of inflammatory cytokines, including interleykines IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-13, release of septic chemokines, production of superoxide anions by activated polymorphno-nuclear neutro-philes, adhesion and chemotaxis of eosinophiles, identification of adhesion molecules such as R- selectin, IgE-indirect release of histamine, prostaglandin D2 and leukotrien C4.
