SARS, including influenza, including those complicated by bacterial infection, pneumonia (bacterial, viral, chlamydia) in children and adults;
infectious-inflammatory diseases of newborns, including premature infants: meningitis (bacterial, viral), sepsis, intrauterine infection (chlamydia, herpes, CMV infection, enterovirus infection, candidiasis, including visceral, mycoplasmosis);
chronic viral hepatitis B, C, D in children and adults, including in combination with the use of plasmapheresis and hemosorption in chronic viral hepatitis of pronounced activity complicated by liver cirrhosis;
infectious-inflammatory diseases of the urogenital tract (chlamydia, CMV infection, ureaplasmosis, trichomoniasis, gardnerellosis, papillomavirus infection, bacterial vaginosis, recurrent vaginal candidiasis, mycoplasmosis) in adults;
primary or recurrent herpetic infection of skin and mucous membranes, localized form, mild and moderate course, including urogenital form in adults.
Contraindications:
Ointment: individual intolerance of drug components.
Gel: increased sensitivity to any of the components of the drug.
Suppositories: increased sensitivity to any of the components of the drug.
Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding
Ointment: since the systemic absorption of interferon is low in external and local use and the drug has an effect only in the lesion, the use of the preparation Viferon during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible.
Gel: Since systemic absorption of interferon is low in topical use and the drug has effects only in the lesion site, it is possible to use the preparation Viferon during pregnancy and breastfeeding. During lactation, do not use the preparation on the area of nipples and areola.
Suppositories: the drug Viferon is allowed for use since the 14th week of pregnancy. It is not limited to use during lactation.
Suppositories: bullet-shaped, white with a yellowish tint, uniform consistency. Non-uniformity of painting in the form of marble is allowed. On the longitudinal section there is a funnel-shaped recess. The diameter of the suppository is no more than 10 mm.
Pharmacological action:
Pharmacological action - antiproliferative, immunomodulatory, antiviral.
Pharmakodinamika:
Human recombinant interferon alpha-2b has pronounced immunomodulatory, antiviral, antiproliferative properties, inhibits replication of RNC and DNA-containing viruses.
The complex composition of the preparations (ointment, suppositories, gel) leads to a number of new additional effects: in the presence of antioxidants (tocopherol acetate and/or ascorbic acid), the specific antiviral activity of human recombinant alpha-2b interferon increases, its immunomodulatory effect on T and B lymphocytes is increased, the level of class A secretory immunoglobulins, normalizuzus Ascorbic acid and alpha-tocopherol acetate, being highly active antioxidants, have anti-inflammatory, membrane-stabilizing, as well as regenerating properties. Use of Viferon preparation as part of complex therapy allows reducing therapeutic doses of antibacterial and hormonal LS, as well as reducing toxic effects of said therapy.
It was found that when using the preparation BIFERON ®, there are no side effects arising from parenteral administration of interferon alpha-2b preparations, antibodies are not formed that neutralize the antiviral activity of interferon alpha-2b.
